Google’s attempts to display more beneficial, in-depth reviews based on first-hand experience in search results will be continued with the upcoming update.
When users include the product review update from July, there have been three verified Google algorithm updates in the past month.
Google said in their blog post that they are aware that product reviews might be useful in influencing users’ decisions to purchase a product.
“To display more beneficial, in-depth reviews based on first-hand experience in search results, we started a series of changes last year. On August 18, 2022, Google stated in a blog post,” Google said.
Google added that they have continued to refine their systems.
“In the coming weeks, we’ll roll out another update to make it even easier to find high-quality, original reviews. We’ll continue this work to make sure you find the most useful information when you’re researching a purchase on the web.” Google said.
It is said that Google seems to be on a quest to remove low-quality information from the first page, with a particular emphasis on content that users use to guide their shopping decisions.
Meanwhile, the end of the recently announced upgrade to Google’s helpful content update will coincide with the release of the upcoming product review update.
