Google Will Deactivate The Old Search Console Message Panel

Beginning August 1, 2022, Google Search Console will phase out the old legacy messaging version. If users attempt to access the legacy version of the Search Console message panel, users will be greeted with the message “Important: This report will no longer be available after August 1, 2022.” Instead, please use the new Message panel.”

When Google launched the new Google Search Console in 2018, not everything was migrated from the old platform to the new. In fact, several tools in Search Console have not yet been migrated. Google changed the Search Console messages into a bell icon in its own panel in 2019. However, not all messages were discovered in that section when it was launched. All messages should now be accessible in that message panel, and the old version will be phased out over the next few weeks.

Users can now view all of the messages they receive from Google Search Console in one place. It may be overwhelming to see all of these messages, but don’t worry; scan through them and, if anything appears to be concerning or important, contact users SEO consultant, agency, or developer for assistance.

There is no need to be concerned; Google moved all messaging from the old Search Console to the new Search Console in February 2022. Google stated at the time that it had “completed the migration of all messages into the new Search Console interface,” and that as a result, users should expect “even more user messages in the messages panel.”

Removing the old version will force some of the users who still check those messages to concentrate on just one message panel in the future, hopefully saving users’ time and resources.
