YouTube Analytics now categorizes data based on video type.
YouTube is updating its analytics reports, which will benefit content creators who create videos in various formats.
There is a high demand for separate analytics, according to creator feedback. All video views, as previously stated, are currently aggregated into a single metric.
Users can now view the total number of video views for each type of content they post on their channel. Previously, data was aggregated into a single metric that counted views across all content types.
Today, users can compare the views of their regular videos, Shorts, and live streams to determine which type of content is driving the most engagement.
There’s also an All button, which is useful for comparing performance across various formats.
This change only affects channel-level analytics. There have been no changes made to video-level analytics.
These changes will be available to all creators on mobile and desktop in the coming weeks.
