Bard uses location from your Google Account’s Home and Work addresses, and your IP address. To get more relevant local results, Google now offers the option for you to let Bard use your device’s precise location.
When you access Bard, you are now given the option to use your precise location. You can allow it to use your precise location or retain having it use your Google account’s home and work addresses and IP address You also have the option to change the settings anytime via Google’s location settings.
According to Google, precise location helps Bard provide more relevant responses about restaurants near you and many other things about your area.
Have you tested the feature yet? According to Barry Schwartz, the local results were not too precise as of testing. Nevertheless, it is bound to improve as the feature is still new and Bard is still in experimental mode.
