Google Analytics is updating reports for GA4 properties with data from the Performance Max and Smart Shopping campaigns.

Advertisers who monitor landing pages with GA4 properties can now see exactly how much traffic is attributed to Performance Max and Smart Shopping Campaigns.

Data from both types of campaigns are now grouped together in a new channel group called “cross-network.” To check on this, users should look for the cross-network channel grouping in any report that displays traffic acquisition from Google Ads sources to get access to the data.

Cross-network is a new channel group that will appear in reports alongside Organic Search, Paid Search, Paid Social, Display, and other sources.

Depending on users advertising objectives, it may be necessary to separate the Performance Max and Smart Shopping metrics from the rest of the Google Ads data.

The data is organized under cross-network, making it simple to determine how much traffic they are receiving from Google Ads’ newest campaign types.
