The Google Contacts bottom bar change, which was originally seen a month ago, is now being broadly carried out, with the Android app now noting the date you added an individual.
The two-tab bottom bar remains bizarre due to the navigation drawer for switching accounts and showing/creating new labels is still present. The tall Material You version adds to the strangeness.
The top area is “Contacts,” while “Fix & merge” now lists and emphasizes the app’s numerous functions, and settings may be reached by pressing your profile avatar.
Both of these features were included in Google Contacts version 3.65.2.x, which was released today.
