Google launches ‘Play Pass’ subscription in India

Google’s newly launched ‘Play Pass’ subscription service in India provides android users with over 1,000 apps and games without commercials, in-app purchases, or upfront fees.

The users now in India enjoy a service for a month for free before subscribing for Rs 99 per month or Rs 889 annually. They also get a one-month prepaid subscription for Rs. 109.

According to Google, Play Pass is now accessible in 90 countries and offers a high-quality and curated library of 1000+ titles from the developers of 59 countries, including many from India.

Google added that they would continue to work with global and local developers to add new games and apps to Play Pass every month to bring something new to discover.

“With the launch of Play Pass in India, we are excited to offer a robust collection of unlocked titles to our users and looking forward to partnering with more local developers to build amazing experiences users love,” Aditya Swamy, Director, Play Partnerships, Google India, said.

Play Pass, aims to provide players access to popular games like Jungle Adventures, World Cricket Battle 2, and Monument Valley, as well as apps like Utter, Unit Converter and AudioLab, Photo Studio Pro, and Kingdom Rush Frontiers TD.
