Have you also noticed delays in the updating of Search Console’s performance report? As of writing, the delay is already at 65 hours since the report last updates. The reports are usually updated within 4 hours and it’s close to 3 days now, which is a significant delay.
According to Google, they are aware of the issue and that it only affects reporting, not crawling, indexing, or ranking of websites.
Some are wondering if this is an indication of a ranking update. John Mueller chimed in, saying that “Sometimes things are just a bit slow. It doesn’t mean that there isn’t another search update happening, it’s just that this is definitely not a sign of a search update. Sorry for the delays with the data.”
Looks like there is no reason to panic. Delays in reporting is not an uncommon issue in Search Console and the issue should be resolved soon.
