Two of the real-time data features of the Google Maps application have been disabled temporarily by Google.
One of the features is the live traffic layer that shows traffic delays on routes in real-time, based on anonymous location data given by an android phone. Another feature that has been disabled is the live Busyness tool that allows users to view how busy a location is on a specific day, time, or instant.

The decision came a day after Ukraine’s road-building and maintenance business, Ukravtodor, announced that all road markers would be removed to confound invading Russian forces.
