The Data Transfer Project (DTP) of Google announced to make transferring to competitor services easier, will receive additional investments and sustained collaboration with industry partners.

Google said it will develop open-source frameworks that permit various sorts of data transmission and allow more firms and organizations to participate in DTP with a commitment of $3 million over the next five years and hundreds of hours of our engineers’ time.

Google, Apple, Meta, Microsoft, Twitter, and SmugMug created the Data Transfer Project to ease data mobility for users all over the world. 

Meanwhile, Google Takeout will continue to improve and offer additional options to move your files to multiple services using DTP technology as well as some new usage statistics.
