A new feature that highlights what users are saying about a subject in online forums and discussions is being rolled out by Google in search results.

The discussions and forums feature, which Google announced today, September 28, 2022 at its virtual “Search On” event, builds on its current efforts to provide links to pertinent forum posts.

“We’ve heard from you that you want to see more of this content in Search, so we’ve been exploring new ways to make it easier to find. Starting today, a new feature will appear when you search for something that might benefit from the diverse personal experiences found in online discussions,” Google said in their recent blog post.

As was also announced at Search On, Google said they are removing language barriers in the news by making it easier to find translated stories.

“With this feature, you’ll be able to search and see translated headlines for news results from publishers, in addition to ones written in your preferred language,” Google said.A new function in Google Search will highlight outcomes from a wider range of online forums and discussions.

The said feature will be rolled out in 2023 on desktop and mobile. These will include translations from German, Spanish, and French to English.
