One of the early feedback testers have provided on Google’s Search Generative Experience is how slow it can be when generating responses. Looks like Google is on the move and has solved this issue. Google’s Search Liaison, Danny Sullivan, posted on Twitter:

“Two weeks ago, we started opening up access to SGE. Since then, we’ve made a number of quality updates, including a major improvement that reduces the time it takes to generate AI snapshots by half!”

According to Barry Schwartz of SE Roundtable:

“it is for sure so much faster, it feels more than twice as fast”

He mentioned that he can see the AI generation animation for a few seconds only, before it goes on to generate the results. He even mentioned that it is faster than other AI search engines.

As for the other quality updates mentioned in the tweet, there were no further details provided.

Now we only wait for when Search Labs also opens up to other countries and languages. As of now, access is only available in the U.S.
